Princess Talya Celebrates 6 Years
Talya was SO excited about her birthday! I think she celebrated well! First, a day with Ayelet and I. We sort of ate our way through the day, we enjoyed a lot of chametz. Then, Shabbat dinner with dear friends. Talya loved being the guest of honor. She chose the menu, all her favorites.
Then after dinner, she had her spa treatment thanks to Karen - mani-pedi please!

We have been busy, busy, busy, as you can imagine. Immediately following Ayelet's birthday and our trip to Disney, we got right into Pesach prep. It was crazy as Ron was busy trying to finish the dining room remodel and I was trying to clean, kasher, shop and then finally cook. We were so lucky to have Nona and Nono visit us for Pesach, it was such a treat share the holiday with them!

A wonderful visit with Nona and Nono!

In the mean time, Ayelet keeps growing and growing and doing the cutest things. First, Ayelet has a very interesting personality. She LOVES to organize things, in her own way of course. She has certain spots scattered throughout the house where she takes care of her business. For example, in my office, she is constantly reorganizing the books on my bottom shelf. In the living room, she reorganizes the DVD collection and she is forever rearranging the shoes on the shoe shelf. In the kitchen, she works hard to make sure that the reusable containers are in their proper place, and she is an expert recycler, and is always checking to make sure that we are only recycling the recyclables.

Second, Ron put the baby swing back up in the backyard and she LOVES to go out there on her swing - especially when Michaela and Talya take her out there! (Calgon, take me away, how many pages of my book can I read in twenty minutes!)
Finally, she has gotten into the habit of nodding her head yes and no in answer to our questions. It is clear that she understands everything we ask her, and the more she wants something or doesn't want it, the more emphatically she nods.
